Daddy/Daughter Dance

January 8, 2018

As I’m dancing to the song 99 red balloons for the 4th time in a row it hits me: “Why don’t we have a daddy/daughter dance at the castle!?!!”.

Of course, part of the inspiration could be the 20 times that other people have said “Hey, you should have a Daddy/daughter dance at the castle.”………but no……it’s mainly this moment.  I have 3 daughters, and if there’s one thing they love, it’s dancing.  And while I’m not the best dancer, if there’s one thing I love, it’s my daughters.

And you know what, I take that back about not being a good dancer.  Everything is relative.  Compared to my wife I’m a horrible dancer, but in a group of other dudes who are also slightly past their prime, I’m totally not that bad.  At least a 2 out of 10.  So, let’s do it!  Let’s have some Daddy/Daughter dances.  We’ll turn the lights down, music up, and dance with the only people who won’t make fun of our dancing…….our daughters.  OK, so they’ll also make fun of us, but that’s fine.

In all seriousness, I love taking my daughters on dates, but the movies and Chuck E Cheese is only a memorable date so many times.  If you want to truly create a memory, and I know you do, then bring her to the castle.  Sit down to eat with her and have a real conversation just you and her.  And then humiliate yourself on the dance floor because all the rest of us will be as well.  She won’t love you any less for your dancing ability, and she won’t love you any more for bringing her.  But she’ll remember how much she loves you and how much you love her when you take her for an experience like this.  She’s not going to forget the night you took her on a date to the castle.

As fathers with daughters the other owners and I think this is extremely important, so we’re going to.  You can find the dates HERE.  We also realize that some Fathers can’t afford a special night like this with their daughters, but they still deserve to have this experience together.  If that’s you, then email us at castleofkentucky@gmail.com and we’ll have some scholarships to the dance.  We hope to see you there!

p.s. – There will be princesses and other fun things for her there if you REALLY can’t bring yourself to dance.
